“Speedy Fingers” JOHN RICHARDS AND HIS LIVE GUITAR RETURN TO THE COMMODORE

(Linden, TN) Nashville based John Richards will perform at a special Dinner Show Friday, October 24th at the Commodore Café .

The legendary Harold Bradley, history’s most recorded Guitarist, said in part about John Richards: “Exciting would be a good way to describe John... His technique appears to be born of necessity to fulfill his enormous creative musical imagination. Along with his musical riffs, his voice doubles the musical lines he creates... He plays a variety of guitar jazz tunes such as “Cherokee,” Night Life”... I recommend that you listen to John Richards!”

Richards, a seasoned guitar entertainer, is exciting to watch, exhilarating to listen to... A child protégé, his musical hero was first and foremost his guitarist father; then came Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, Django Reinhart and others too numerous to mention. He has toured with and/or backed on Radio and Television Tanya Tucker, Johnny Bush, Carl Perkins, R. W. Blackwood, Billy Walker, Ferlin Husky, Bobby Bare, Barbara Mandrel, Mac Wiseman, Bill Anderson and many more. John also toured and worked sessions with the legendary fiddle virtuoso the late Vassar Clements. Richards’ and Clements’ unique musical styles complemented each other on studio recordings and delighted live audiences. Vassar’s last studio project was on Richards’ latest CD release titled, “MY JAZZ.”

John Richards plays it all--Country, Pop, Rock, Blues--but his true love is Jazz. He has been compared to Reinhart, George Benson, Lenny Breau and Chet Atkins. John is a Nashville musician native growing up and learning from the greats. He is a popular well-known player having worked most all major Country and Jazz festivals and every quality club in Music City with hundreds of other musicians or as the headliner. He has thrilled national audiences with his musical talent either as a backup to legends and major stars or as headliner Django Reinhart in the off-Broadway play “Ah, That’s Jazz,” also in the stage production “Blues, The Father Of Jazz.”

Richards, not a stranger to radio and television... John has been appearing on television since childhood. One of his favorite shows was the legendary Ralph Emery Show; he is a PBS award-winner on the Ken Burns Jazz series. The versatile Richards has also been seen on the Pro-Celebrities Classics Golf Tournament.

John is an artist of ease--a very gentle caring person who has a passion for what he does. The artistry in the man’s soul comes through and touches his audience as his fingers glide so smoothly, as if in flight, from the head of the living guitar’s fret board to the soul in the body.

The opportunity is here Friday night to experience the “LIVING GUITAR AND SPEEDY FINGERS OF JOHN RICHARDS” – don’t miss out! Friday, October 24th at the Commodore Hotel and Café, 114 E. Main Street, Linden, TN. He will perform for the dinner crowd from 6:30-9:30pm. Dinner is served from 5-9pm. Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling 931-589-3224 or at www.commodorehotellinden.com
